Meet Alveda King, The Fox News Contributor Who Blames Natural Disasters On Gay Marriage
King currently serves as the Director of African-American Outreach at the anti-choice organization Priests for Life, and previously served on the boards of multiple conservative organizations, including Heartbeat International, Georgia Right to Life, and Abortion Recovery International. King’s decade plus history of speaking against LGBT and reproductive rights has won her praise among conservative. King’s anti-LGBT extremism is rooted in her radical opposition to reproductive freedom. KING: It is statistically proven that the strongest institution that guarantees procreation and continuity of the generations is marriage between one man and one woman. King’s homophobic extremism has a richer and deeper history.
King also edited an anti-LGBT book entitled Life at All Costs: An Anthology of Voices from 21st Century Black Prolife Leaders. Her anti-LGBT extremism has put her at odds with MLK’s late wife, Coretta Scott King, who was a vocal proponent of LGBT equality. King has also feuded with the NAACP over its support for marriage equality. On Fox News, King will likely continue her work opposing basic legal protections for LGBT people, especially considering Fox’s ongoing defense of businesses who refuse to serve gay customers. KING: [MLK] is the son of Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr., my granddaddy, the brother of my father Reverend A.D. Williams King, the uncle of Evangelist Alveda King. So I want to urge you to remember the God of Martin Luther King Jr., the Lord of Martin Luther King Jr. Jesus Christ. Expect to hear a lot more about MLK’s legacy on Fox News, especially when it’s used as a tool to legitimize his niece’s vile and extreme anti-LGBT ideology.
Alveda King: Starbucks Should Stop Funding Planned Parenthood if Serious about Ending Racism
The pro-life niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. said that if Starbucks truly wanted to end racism, it would stop funding Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. Alveda King, who serves as director of Civil Rights for the Unborn at Priests for Life, noted in a column at the Washington Examiner the attempt by Starbucks Tuesday to recover from the appearance of engaging in racist business practices. In one situation, two black men who were sitting in a Philadelphia Starbucks without making a purchase were arrested for trespassing. In her column, King observed to Starbucks the racist roots of Planned Parenthood, beginning with its founder, eugenicist Margaret Sanger.
Planned Parenthood is not being boycotted for racist business practices. As King noted, a bust of Sanger – who was active with the Ku Klux Klan – sits in the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution. Sanger, who began the Negro Project in 1939, worked to bring birth control to blacks in an effort to reduce their population. The Negro Project was sold as a solution to poverty and high birth rates among the black community. Starbucks, if you’re really serious about eliminating racism, you will acknowledge that black people, and indeed all human beings, are of one blood and one human race, born and unborn.
We’d be happy to sit down with you to discuss racial justice over a cup of coffee. As MRC NewsBusters reports, Starbucks is listed as a matching gift company at a Planned Parenthood site.
Alveda King: Forgive Racial Injustice
Niece of slain civil rights leader speaks in Des Moines. Alveda King was the featured speaker at an MLK observance at North High School. King is a civil rights activist and former Georgia state legislator. She recalls how she learned forgiveness from her father the night in 1968 when her uncle was killed in Memphis. Alveda King was once arrested as a protester in the open housing movement.
Her family suffered violence at the hands of segregationists who bombed their home in Birmingham, Alabama. King praises younger Americans who do not distinguish between black and white among their peers. About 300 people turned out for last night’s event. Alveda King continues to work for civil rights and as an activist in the Religious Right movement.
AMERICA RETURN TO GOD
This is a must read book for the Church of America-as we press forward into a new era for the Church and for our nation. As you read through this book-you will get charged up with Alveda’s brave stance that our voices matter and we, the Church, have a prophetic voice over our nation. The enemy has tried to silence the Body of Christ about issues that matter in our day but those days are gone! God is telling His Church to come together as one and take authority over our land.
