Alveda King: Starbucks wants to end racism, then stop funding Planned Parenthood
Breitbart: The pro-life niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. said that if Starbucks truly wanted to end racism, it would stop funding Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. Alveda King, who serves as director of Civil Rights for the Unborn at Priests for Life, noted in a column at the Washington Examiner the attempt by Starbucks Tuesday to recover from the appearance of engaging in racist business practices. In one situation, two black men who were sitting in a Philadelphia Starbucks without making a purchase were arrested for trespassing. Opinion: The 2011 billboard makes the point that approximately 13% of the of black mothers have over 35% of the abortions, which was right out of the Margaret Sanger playbook, the founder of Planned Parenthood.
Alveda King: Starbucks Can Fight Racism By Cutting Ties with Planned Parenthood
A second racial incident last week in Los Angeles underscored that maybe some racial sensitivity training is in order. Starbucks had racism in its corporate identity long before the April arrests. Through its corporate donations, Starbucks contributes to one of the most racist organizations in our nation’s history. Planned Parenthood, the largest single provider of abortions in the U.S., performs more than 300,000 terminations each year. See the Starbucks scorepage in our database here and be sure to view our resource page for a list all the companies that support Planned Parenthood.

Alveda King visits Golden Valley High School
Anti-abortion activist Alveda King spoke with students at Golden Valley High School at an assembly Wednesday. In this activity, she had one student grab a rolled up piece of paper representing a torch, walk to the other, hand the paper to them, then have them walk back together; this, she said, was indicative of a teamwork-building spirit. The presentation was mostly made up of activities like these, but the doctor’s true passion was discussed after the forum. Hart school district trustee Joe Messina set up the forum, ecstatic to have King in the Santa Clarita area to speak, which is something he says he has been working toward for years.
